Speed is easy. Understanding is not.
We’ve become incredibly efficient at moving fast.
Things get launched quickly.
Tools get adopted overnight.
Processes change in a single email.
Somewhere, someone hits “send”…
and an entire organisation is expected to just get it.
Everything looks like progress.
Dashboards update.
Modules get completed.
Checklists get ticked.
But here’s the part we don’t talk about.
Understanding doesn’t move at the same speed.
It lags quietly.
Like trying to drink from a firehose—there’s plenty coming at you, but most of it just spills.
Or like watching a movie at 2x speed. You technically “finish” it. But what did you actually take away?
Or like assembling furniture without the manual. All the parts are there. Confidence is not.
That’s what most learning looks like today.
